Ah, Eridan Morvain, a tale of adversity and resilience unfolds before us. Born amidst the treacherous shadows of Ched Nasad, a city renowned for its ruthless power struggles and unforgiving society, Eridan’s life was steeped in danger from the very beginning. As a half-drow, he faced the challenges of being an outcast in both the Drow and surface-dwelling elven worlds, forever caught between two disparate realms.
From an early age, Eridan witnessed the brutal and cutthroat nature of Drow society, where power was seized through ruthless assassinations and machiavellian schemes. Determined to break free from the suffocating darkness that engulfed him, he made a solemn vow to escape the clutches of his dark heritage and forge a path of his own. Through tireless training and honing his combat skills, Eridan became a master of martial prowess and stealthy tactics, ensuring his survival in the treacherous depths of Ched Nasad.

And so, after years of careful planning, Eridan seized an opportunity and made his daring escape, leaving behind the sinister realm of Ched Nasad. His journey led him up the Graypeak Mountains, where he ventured into The Forgotten Forest, seeking solace and a fresh start away from the shadows that haunted him.
However, fate can be a fickle companion, and one unfortunate morning in the depths of the forest, Eridan found himself embroiled in a skirmish with a group of hunters. Misjudging his dusky elven complexion and silver hair as a sign of threat, they attacked, leaving one of their own severely wounded. With caution in his heart and a desire to avoid unnecessary attention, Eridan swiftly retreated, choosing flight over further conflict.
Yet, unfamiliar with the region he found himself in, Eridan followed the course of the River Delimbiyr, navigating the foothills below the Graypeak Mountains until he arrived at the town of Secomber. There, he utilized his wits and persuasiveness to convince a skeptical merchant of his non-threatening intentions, resupplying himself for the journey that lay ahead. Continuing his southwestern path along the river, Eridan yearned for adventure that did not involve clashing blades with misinformed citizens.
It was during one of his foraging expeditions in the Misty Forest that Eridan stumbled upon a group of seasoned adventurers, gathered around a campfire. In exchange for his entertaining tales from the Underdark, they welcomed him into their circle, sharing their own thrilling misadventures. Amongst their stories, one captivating tale caught Eridan’s attention—a story of a green dragon, cultists, and a broken tower. Intrigued by the prospect of both coin and adventure, Eridan received a discreet tip from one of the adventurers, suggesting that Waterdeep, the renowned City of Splendors, held opportunities that he sought.
And so, fueled by curiosity and the promise of new horizons, Eridan bid farewell to his newfound friends and set his sights on Waterdeep. The journey lacked the entertaining banter and captivating stories that had filled his previous days, but it did not dampen his spirits. With hope in his heart, he arrived in the grand city and eventually found himself at The Lusty Strigiforme Tavern, nestled near the Upper Towers of the illustrious North Ward.
Within the cozy confines of the tavern, Eridan indulged in the local fare, eavesdropping on the conversations of the clientele while contemplating his future. Little did he know that fate had a surprise in store for him. As if orchestrated by some unseen force, he found himself seated alongside a large, human-looking stranger whose mere presence seemed to clear the table of other patrons. Reluctantly engaging in small talk, Eridan discovered an unexpected connection and sensed that this chance encounter held the potential for great things.
And then, as if by some twist of destiny, another thrill-seeker joined their table—an enigmatic figure adorned with sharpened teeth and an intimidating array of weapons. This stranger, with a tale of sorrow and hardship that resonated with both Eridan and his newfound companion, captivated their attention. United by shared experiences and a yearning for something more, their budding friendship sparked a glimmer of hope within Eridan’s heart.
The path that lies ahead remains uncertain, but Eridan, ever the optimist, harbors a sense of anticipation for the adventures that await him. Who knows where this newfound camaraderie will lead? Only time will reveal the true extent of their shared destiny. May the gods smile upon Eridan Morvain and his companions as they embark on their enthralling journey through the realms of Faerûn.
